News from February 17, 2024 — a painting by the famous Russian painter, founder of ornamentalism Alexey Akindinov “Lenin in January. Lenin and Children” was presented to the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov.

The artist's work was solemnly presented to the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation by employees of the Moscow Publishing House "Panorama" and the magazine "Russian Gallery XXI Century".

In the plot of the canvas, the leader of the world proletariat is depicted as a kind Grandfather Frost, giving New Year's gifts to children. Now the painting occupies a place of honor in the collection of paintings by the flagship of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.

The dominant aspect of the work of the magazine "Russian Gallery XXI Century" is the organization of exhibitions of contemporary Russian artists in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the State Kremlin Palace and the Museum of the Great Patriotic War.

Alexey Akindinov's collaboration with the magazine "Russian Gallery XXI Century" and the Publishing House "Panorama" began fifteen years ago — in 2008, for outstanding services in the field of fine arts, Alexey was awarded the prize and Silver medal "Russian Gallery XXI Century".

The award ceremony took place in the building of the Russian Federation Council in Moscow. The medal was presented to Alexey by Full Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Professor of the Moscow State Academic Institute named after Vasily Surikov — Nikolai Borovskoy.

Since then, the Akindinovs have donated more than ten paintings to the magazine in the style of ornamentalism he created. During this time, the Panorama Publishing House and the Russian Gallery XXI Century magazine organized and implemented collective thematic projects at the most significant exhibition venues in Moscow, St. Petersburg and abroad. Alexey Akindinov became a regular participant in all these exhibitions, adequately presenting the image of contemporary art in Russia.

For a decade and a half, the editors of the magazine "Russian Gallery XXI Century" have presented on its pages more than 12,800 works by 930 contemporary artists with a detailed art historical analysis of their work. The collection of paintings by the Panorama Publishing House currently includes more than 2,600 works.

Alexey Akindinov donated a sketch for the painting “Lenin in January” to the Chinese gallery of Russian art Min Li in Beijing in 2018 (Alexey in the photo with Mrs. Min).
