"Ornamentalism. Terra Incognita
5 - December 22, 2013.
In the State Exhibition Hall "On Kashirke" in December will most interesting exhibition "ornamentalism. Terra Incognita », uniting creative research about forty artists belonging to this area. The geography of participants covered cities: Moscow, Krasnogorsk and frontal Moscow region, Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region, Arkhangelsk, Ryazan, Rostov-on-Don, Saransk, CIS (Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan) and far (Poland, France) abroad.
Professional artists unusually high level. Participated in numerous exhibitions and exhibition projects, including major international forums and festivals, whose works are in major museums and private collections in Russia and abroad - Alexey Akindinov (leader of the movement), Lada Vdovina (France), Olga Kontaryova, Konstantin Kuznetsov, Vasily Nikolaev, Galina Polotz, Marina Polyakova, Larisa Rubtsova, Igor Sidorov (Belarus), Sofia Suhariyan, Toir Sharipov (Uzbekistan) and others. - a wizard with a strong personality, breaking within the tradition, able to create their own, deeply personal artistic worlds .
In 2000, Alexey Akindinov (Ryazan) opened this subject in modern painting of his exhibition "Everything pattern." In the following years, in Ryazan, there have been several exhibitions that promote the movement, but collectively generalizing the exhibition was not.
The exhibition, which opened in Moscow in the exhibition hall "On Kashirka" - the first large-scale exhibition that promotes the work of artists-ornamentalists, and promises a lot of interesting concentration of artistic currents inside the areas, as well as the ability to re-read.
In the works of exhibitors ornamentalism appear not only in the broad stylistic range of different types and genres of art: from national characteristics - traditional folk ornament, ethnofuturism, east of Orientalism to modern rational abstraction, refined and abstract decorativism not yet identified the values and symbols that manifest new meanings and contexts there is a change implemented messengership.
Scenic number in the exhibition will be complemented by graphics, arts and crafts, including patchwork, art glass, lingvogobelenami, video and audiovisual installations.
